About

Robin James is the bestselling author of more than twenty-five (and counting) crime thriller novels, all of which have become Amazon chart-toppers. She strives to bring you characters so believable you think you know them; small-town settings so real you think you live there; and plot-twists so masterful, you never see them coming.

Before turning to writing full-time, Robin was an attorney  (well, technically she still is as she dutifully sends a check to the Michigan Bar Ass’n every year) and former law professor. While running her own small-town practice, Robin worked on just about every kind of case you can imagine, from criminal defense to family law, from civil rights to land deals, from wrongful death to contracts. She’s even acted as her own process server and aerial photographer. She also spent over a decade at the helm of a Michigan legal clinic assisting thousands of people who could not otherwise afford access to justice.

Robin now lives on a quiet  lake in southern Michigan with her husband, two children, one lazy dog, and seven spoiled chickens. The local swan population is also quite fond of her and steals her rafts regularly. Her favorite, pure Michigan writing spot is stretched out on the back of a pontoon watching the faster boats go by.
